Hey guys I was recently got rear ended by a lady and the damage was mainly to the hatch door underneath my license plate. The estimate is close to double what I have found a full carbon fiber replacement for so i thought why not... Anyone here have one or have any comments about them?

Thanks in advance,

Eh.. from what I've seen.. the fitment isn't as good as OEM.. you also need to consider that you'll have to get your glass put in.. So.. just consider that.. make sure that you're not looking at crap Carbon fiber hatches either.. cause you'll pay for it in the end with exhaust leaking into your box..

buddy of mine had one of the first carbon hatches, they look great. no real fitment issues and all the gaps matched

be careful when you open it, it could slingshot you across your driveway....seriously

Not sure what carbon fiber goes for, but on car-parts.com I see used ones anywhere from $350 to $600.

Cammo goes awesome with carbon fiber. However, there is the problem with quality. If I was in your position, I'd try and get a jdm hatch.

I don't think I have ever seen one on a 1st gen. I have a friend with a 2nd gen with a carbon fiber hatch and it looks awesome.
