What gas octane rating do you use in your tC?
What octane gas do you guys use? I believe the tC can use 87 Regular which surprises me since my old GS-R required 91. The dealer put 91 Supreme when I got it, but I've been pumping 89 Plus and do not feel any difference. I've just broke through the 1200 mile break in mileage.
the manual says 87 will work but if you detect detonation, try to switch to a higher grade octane.
I didn't detect detonation but I let my buddy borrow my car to get to work while I finished turbo-ing his car. When I got it back I had a full tank it seemed to fun a lil smoother/peppier when I wasn't at WOT. So I asked and sure enough he put 93 in. It feels pretty good and I went from 24mpg to 26-27 now since then.
So for the SLIGHT improvement in driveability, added with the SLIGHTLY beter gas mileage, I felt it was worth the small investment more.

Can I interest you in one of these? You will need to use 91 octane as soon as you install it though.
