I simply popped the doors off cut some holes and drilled the stock speakers out. Did some build up w/ mdf. Made a cardboard pattern, for the outside panel shape. Ordered some white vinyl with 1/4 inch foam. Rapped 1/4 plywood and mounted the panel thru in inner side of the door panel w/ T-nuts. Careful drilling and alignment here. Mounted the speakers and walla. I do not have the skills as some of these heavy hitters out there. I am thinking clean euro lines as a daily driver all day long.

Yeah, your doors are my favorite part. I think I'm following
in your foot steps, but I'm WAY behind you. I only just got
my rims, and I'm in heavy debate as to how to do the interior.

LR

Run with it, it was a Sunday job perk. Took about 4 hours max. Tools help: Jig saw, router table w/ 1/4 round over bit, electric staple gun, spray adhesive, some screw drivers and some balls to committ surgery on your stock door panels.

Do it!!

pillars look good, but I'd have probably passed on the rear bumper applique. Kind of ties in with the color of the tails, but it just doesn't quite look right to me.

Nice work tho.

Is it really a problem to ADD your own speakers to the doors ?
Are there any good speakers that dont need a MOD to fit in the door ?

No boom to operate, all electronic and with lit touch panel, Webasto has the goods. As all of you do I searched for something different. The doors cost me $20 in vinyl, and $90 for Polk. The rear is the same raise panel look, with a designed cut.
