My idea, don't see any evidence it's already been done either.
If I were more organized and gave a crap I might try to organize it, but I figure this is too good to keep under wraps.
Priory of Scion
Now most of you are probably like WTF.
The Priory of Sion is an alleged ancient secret society dating back to the time of Christ, supposedly made up of decendants of Jesus himself, who later became kings of Europe. Theres all kind of clandestine connections with the freemasons and illumaniti type stuff etc.
Google "Priory of Sion" for more on that if you're interested...

Yea Priory of Scion is witty but look into it a little more. While reading Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown I read about this group and did research. If you have read it, you also realize that the girl caught her grandpa in sexual rituals with a group of people through this Priory of Scion. They're a smart but also weird group who is into akward things. I guess this may apply to some clubs but I hope to hell its not mine. Points for wittiness, but also losing some for sheer orgy factor :P
Good thought though!

what amazes ME is that anyone actually takes that DaVinci Code crap for anything more than the FICTION garbage that it is. You can make ANY book say ANYTHING you want it to if you manipulate it the right way. The DaVinci Code was PROVEN a long time ago to be total BS.

The Priory of Sion is an alleged ancient secret society dating back to the time of Christ, supposedly made up of decendants of Jesus himself
I see two problems with this:
1. Do you really want a name that you'll have to explain to everyone? and...
2. Jesus didn't have any children, so there are no decendants of Jesus. Maybe followers, disciples, or relitives, but not decendants.

Announcer: And now, ladies and gentlemen, Mister Arec Bardwin! [a huge disco ball is spotlighted as he comes out. Lisa looks at Kim, Kim looks at the stage]
Alec Baldwin: We are here to usher in a new era without violence. By following the rules of the Film Actors Guild, the world can become a better place ...that handles dangerous people with talk, and reasoning. That... is the ___ way. One day you will all look at the world us actors created and say, "Wow, good goin', ___. You really made the world a better place, didn't ya, ___?"

Are you sure? There's a huge chunk of Jesus' life missing from the Bible. Prove to me that he didn't.When it comes right down to it, I can't prove many parts of the Bible to you. A large portion of it has been proven through archeology and historical records, but much of it boils down to faith. I believe it to be true. And according to the Bible, Jesus was "without sin". He never married, so fathering a child would have been a sin.

1. Well, we already drive cars that we have to explain to everyone so we must not mind explaining.
2. Thats open for debate, at least for me (I'm agnostic)

Are you sure he never married? There's a huge chunk of Jesus' life that is missing...It's not really a huge chunk. There's no real record from late childhood until he began his ministry at around 30 yrs old. I'm pretty sure if Jesus had married, the Bible would have at least mentioned his wife. Besides, he views the church as his bride.

30 years of life for a guy that lived to be about 37 or so is a *huge* chunk.
The Bible was compiled by people who had an interest in making Jesus seem as divine as possible. There are books that have been omitted, and text that has been intentionally held back. Take a look at the Apocrypha if you want a small example.
Don't point at the Bible, especially the King James Version, as the end-all-be-all to Christianity. It's flawed. Very flawed.
mfbenson
02-26-2005, 03:00 AM
The fact that it is even open to debate should prove that there are gaps in the records. For instance, the "James Box" that turned up a few years ago (that has since been proven to be a hoax - a very good hoax, but still a hoax) had an inscription on it that said "James, Brother of Jesus". Serious theologians that have spent their whole lives studying this sort of thing said it was a genuine article.
YET, nowhere in the bible does it say that Jesus had a brother. The explanation was that James was the descendent of Joseph and Mary, but that would make him Jesus' half-brother, not full brother. (That, or Joseph was the father of Jesus, not God, but that possibility was not considered.)
Anyhow, at the end of the day what we know of Jesus comes down to being an article of faith. If we decide to believe the Bible, or what we are taught about it, and if we decide to include some "extra facts" along with it are really questions that everyone has to answer themselves. Telling someone "the way it was" does nothing constructive.
And boy has this thread wandered off of club names...
I always thought "Sciontasy" would be cool for a Scion tC club.
phinz

Remember, also, that "virgin" in ancient terms didn't necessarily always mean "hasn't had intercourse." It also meant "young." Top this off with the fact that the Bible you are reading was compiled for a king and is not done by "divine inspiration" and you have plenty of room for argument.
Basing belief on blind faith does nothing constructive. To truly understand what it is you believe, you must question everything you believe. Just keep in mind that at one time the Church said the earth was flat. People were killed for saying it was round.

You have never heard that it is ~Possible~ that the " HOLY GRAIL " might not be the chalis , BUT instead it might be the DIRECT descendents of CHRIST , who then became the KINGS and QUEENS of EUROPE . Just Maybe.....
