2.25" exhaust is what you want. 2.5 is too big unless ur plannin on forced induction. u can use the straight through muffler though. make sure to install a resonator and might as well get a high flow cat if you are gonna go manifold back

1) Yes
2) Probably

IMHO of course, cause I have no dyno data to back that up.

That set-up would be for 1/4 mile runs only and you would lose low end torque. I say go with 2.25 inch pipe and you will be ok. :D I hope this helps.

You'll lose an INSANE amount of torque. The car will be so friggin slow. I had the same setup...do you mean the whole thing, catback, or axle back cuz even a catback straight pipe at 2.5" will make you lose a lot of torque. Mine was built in anticipation for nitrous use and the straight pipe along with the DC headers...DAMN, slowest sh*t on the street.

Thats when I got SMOKED by a Prius because of that exhaust

The box's don't ever sound really buzzy - they do get a tone to them which can be tiring on a long distance - but not as bad as a Honda.

to be on the safe side, I have TWO resonators, one right after the other, and it sounds damn near stock with just a little more growl to it.
