I remember 6 months or so ago someone posted some pics with chrome trim rings on their steelies and it looked good. Im looking for some and having a hard time. Will and 15" trim rings fit? and what about center caps?

Also cant find the thread cause the search feature is useless.

Yeah, Brian put trim rings on his camo xB and it looked good. I would also change out the stock lug nuts. That's just my preference. I think Brian said he got them at Kragen or Autozone.

It wasnt me with the pics ....and I still doint know how to post pics yet but I do have the trim rings. Kragen has them I think for fifteen or less. I think its the cheepest most instantly gratifying mod esp if your not going to be getting rims soon. Just wax the steelies and get some lug nuts and your set. I was even thinking about a small moon cap for the center but.... I got my rims coming on sat..he he.

I like it. I've been considering the same myself. I'm a complete novice -- I've read conflicting posts on whether this will actually fit the stock 15's. How did they work for you? And yes, if I do this, I'll change the lugs.

That's a great idea for those of us in the Midwest or anywhere that we have to run stock wheels in the winter ro keep from destroying our rims - can anyone tell me exactly what size (depth) to get? 1.5"? 2"?

I had trim rings before I changed to my other winter wheels,

I just measured mine. The lip is 1.75" deep, and that fits about perfect.

I like the look because it almost looks like it could be stock & it gives it a slightly more truck-like look

I ended up buying mine from here:
http://www.hubcapkingdom.com/pages/trim.htm
They were extremely helpful, even paid for the shipping after I accidentally purchased the cheap chrome plastic rings instead of the stainless steel ones. As for fitment, just tell them you need the standard 15 inch stainless steel rings. They fit perfectly!

What size lips do you suggest to fit well? The ones from hupcapkingdom come in 2", 2.5" and 3". Is the extra lip above 2" worth the $30?

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too - if typhoonorchid's are 1.75" and fit perfectly are the 2" trim rings from hubcap kingdom going to be too deep to fit the stock wheels?
