Old_Punk 02-23-2005, 11:09 PM Have you considered hitting the wheels with some matte black so they don't show up quite as much?
jeems 02-23-2005, 11:21 PM Have you considered hitting the wheels with some matte black so they don't show up quite as much?
no i hadn't considered that, but it is a good idea.
mitchell 02-23-2005, 11:49 PM If you lower it with some tein H's you will be set!
jeems 02-24-2005, 02:08 AM will that not void the warranty?
stick_1NZ 02-24-2005, 03:02 AM will that not void the warranty?
Lowering you car doesn't void your warranty. You'll be aight.
Derk-xB 02-24-2005, 03:13 AM Looks good! That's a great idea that'll make my hubcaps tolerable until I get $$$. :ponder:
hotbox05 02-24-2005, 04:04 AM Take off the scion logo and you got a bB under there.
koalaty2 02-24-2005, 04:20 AM Looks great with the car. I painted mine white (PW xB) and it is a lot cheaper than wheels. Because of course when you get wheels, you do not want stock tires on them, so you must get the tires also. I figure about 6-8 hundred. I can do a lot of other mods for that price. The matte black is a good suggestion. Have a camo around town, and then put a rather large white star on the front door. Really sets is apart. Nice ride, and enjoy it.
atomoverride 02-24-2005, 04:27 AM all I got to say, BETTER THAN STOCK! way to go buddy.
jeems 02-24-2005, 04:33 PM yeah this will do until i have money for some wheels
BOXCAR 02-24-2005, 06:46 PM JEEMS;looks great , i don't have funds for wheels either (at least the finance minister(WIFE) says i don't) so i went with full moon caps, salt flat discs whatever you want to call 'em they look really good on my TCM . did you just spray can them or what just wondering about durability.
jeems 02-25-2005, 03:16 AM well i was going to just spray paint them. my friend yanked them off and told me he would do it for me while i was at work. when i went to pick them up i was amazed. he used actual car paint and a clear coat. i think it was called grey micah or something like that. he said he used almost a whole can on them. i'm satisfied. these pictures really don't do them justice at all. they really shine.
mynameisphunk 02-25-2005, 03:28 AM is that dupont duplicolor wheel paint? i love that stuff...looks great, something i was considering doing on my blue onyx xB but hadn't gotten around to it yet (been running my extra set of black steelies w/ snow tires all winter anyway).
good job
RageStevens 02-25-2005, 03:51 AM Nice much better.
SuperMario6582 02-25-2005, 04:20 AM Looks good man. Nice liitle mod till you can get some rims.

These are Chrome full baby moons. These are winter wheels of course... I have some 18s for summer... I ran the stock steelies until we got these... I just couldn't bear to put the stock hubs back on! :nope:
If you're thinking about these... or have purchased them... make SURE that you check to make sure they seat down against the rim properly. There's a problem with the offset on FWD vehicle and these type of caps. Ours were about 1/4" off. Had to buy another set of stock rims and have the offset modified to fit the hubcaps securely. And you don't want to take a chance on losing a Chrome hubcap!!
Here's another pic:

Hippy 02-25-2005, 06:07 AM I like the baby moons, & trim rings. What wheels did you use to run them? My wheels are like the wheels in the first picture with holes around center yours look solid.
PrincessScion 02-25-2005, 01:17 PM We have the stock steelies under the baby moons, but we had to have the offset modified, as the standard offset prevented the hubcaps from seating down properly.
buddhafrogsaypeace 02-25-2005, 01:41 PM Very nice, esp w/ the camo color. I have a silver xB and am trying to decide what route I'll take w/out spending the monies on wheels. I think I'm gonna do stock wheel w/ a chrom trim only. But if my car were darker, I think I'd follow your route. Very nice for the cost!
BLeeK 02-25-2005, 03:40 PM moons are the shyte!
looks good i guess for caps, i mean work with what you have....keep on keepin on...
