Default RS1 Front Lip with OEM GFX Side and Back?

Hey guys, So I originally wanted to get a JP Vizage but after a lot of looking into it, it seems too low for where I live (Boston) plus I'll have to up my wheel gap .

So I'm looking for something that stands out a good amount but isn't rice. So I've been going back and forth between the OEM lip kit and the RS1 lip kit. My one concern with the OEM lip kit is that from what I've seen, it looks incomplete as if the bumper was cut and glued back together (as seen here https://www.scionlife.com/gallery/personal/18049_1.jpg).

And the RS1, I'm not in love with the side skirt.

Then I ran across this page: http://www.progressauto.com/gallery/...otoGalleryID=1

RS1 Front lip with OEM side and back. From the pics there, it looks damn sexy. The only issue I see is that from the pics, the front lip looks like it is lower than the side skirts. Does anyone know if that is the case or is it the camera playing tricks? Does anyone have a similar combo? And in those pics, does anything look molded?

Also, what do you think of RS1 Front and back with OEM side skirts? My favorite thing about the OEM kit definitely has to be the side skirts.

As background info, I have an 08 TC blue metallic ribbon (that is the slightly lighter blue one), just bought Eibach sportlines (2 inch even drop), gold rota grids 18x8.5 (mounting Kumho Ecsta ASX tires on them), and neo chrome muteki lug nuts. Everything but the wheels came in. Wheels should be in today says US tracking! So excited haha

To tell you the truth i dont remember. But the corners of the oem side skirts have lower corners and goes higher in the middle so it should match the height of the front and rear.

although, I never had the OEM front lip, I heard it requires cutting the actual bumper to get the lip on... so that's prolly why it looks incomplete to you...

also, the RS1 front lip sits lower than the OEM front lip, so that is prolly why it looks lower than the sides... it's not camera tricks...

hope that helps...

Both the OEM and RS1 lips are added on, over the lower portion of the bumper. So both will have a visible upper edge, if they're not molded to the bumper (very few are). Don't see how you think one looks different than the other as far as that goes, if they both are essentially the same type piece.
The OEM lip has a black 'gasket' along the upper edge where it meets the bumper - this obviously stands out more on the white car in that pic. Maybe that's what you're seeing? It wouldn't be as noticeable on a darker color.
The only cuts made to the bumper for the OEM lip, are small horizontal slits. There are mounting tabs on the lip that go through the slits, and clips get inserted through them on the inside of the bumper.
OEM is much better looking than the RS1, IMO.

MrBurrito, damn that is SEXY! I'm totally going for that.

How much did the kits run you all together? I just did a quick search and it looks like im looking at around $660 (including shipping). Looks like its worth it to just spent the 10 extra bucks to get the full RS1 kit and then sell the sides (cause separately, the front and rear are almost just as much as the full kit). Then the side skirts are 145+40(shipping) primered per side on trdsparks.

Did you manage to find any deals?

And also, I loved that you filled in the holes, those are one of the reasons why I was maybe considering another lip :D

(PS - what rear lip do you have there? GFX?)

Do you know if the sides have any weird mounting requirements as well? And from the pics Mr.Burrito put up, yeah it does look lower you are right... but it still looks awesome :D
