Default So long prelude...

wooHAH!!! Just finished driving home my first NEW car...i've always had preowned cars before today. And it feels that much more awesome knowing it's a Flint Mica tC!!!

I will miss my 96 prelude si greatly (only 79k miles!) but...i've got a new toy now and i'm lovin every second i spend near it.

Big thanks to the entire forum for every insightful post...you all made the decision making process entirely too easy! Mad Scion Pride right here!
Y'know...i think i'll be walking backwards for at least a couple months everytime i park my new tC!!! Anyone else find themselves doing that?

yo...thx man. yeah...loved my lude. i think what i miss most is how the stock seats really hug you. And as much as i'm diggin the tC, i kinda feel like i'm sitting about a foot higher than the lude. i'm sure that's exagerating...but it just feels that way.

i know what you mean about the seats being much lower. what i like more about the tc is that driver and the passengers have much more leg room. everytime i have passengers. i would need to move my seats up and when i do, my knees actually hits the dash. talk about a pain in the ___ to drive. also in my 92, there was a huge armrest that stretches to the rear seats. which only allowed a maximum of 4 people.

oh man...you ain't lyin about the passenger room! i used to joke that the prelude's rear seats have just enough room for a double leg amputee toddler!!! (oh snap...i'm probably goin to hell for that one. )

I've had mine for almost 6 months now (my first new car, too) and I still walk away from it backwards sometimes. it's a beautiful car. still makes me smile.

and congrats, welcome to the club.

looks like I'm not the only Prelude owner who has jumped ship. I had two Preludes. 92 SI 4WS (auto), and a 92 SI (manual). i fixed up both rides niiiice, but eventually it was time to move on. I'm glad to be part of the Scion team =)

eujin, how was your 4WS? mines was messed up. for example, if were to drive straight down the road, the chassis of the car would be at a tilt. so basically my car was going straight but the car was pointing to the left. this happened because the rear tires were pointing slightly to the right. this also threw off my steering wheel. when im driving straight, the steering wheel is turned about 20 degrees to the right.

I walk backwards too HA! and then when your walking to your car you go DAMN ITS SOO BEAUTIFUL! Then you cry if a bird SH@$# on your car and you glady take your jacket off to wipe it off right away...of course that only might be me! but i know i have had a couple of scares when i thought there was a scratch on my car and it turned out to be a dead bug! boy my heart was beating beacuse i thought i had a scratch on my BEAUTIFUL CAR!
Then everyone looks at you in your car! it's great! you say YA YOU KNOW YOU LIKE THIS...CAR!
