View Full Version : Rotor Stuck HelP!!! BayAreaScion 06-12-2010, 01:40 AM Left front came off smoothly, right front is on solid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Olesen_Custom_Automotive 06-12-2010, 02:06 AM there are two threaded holes the purpose of them is to put a bolt in, then the rotor is forced off not sure the size of the threaded holes frogbox 06-12-2010, 03:10 AM If there were bolts in with your new pads , use the old ones on the caliper to take em off ( they are they correct size for some strange reason , ever wonder why they put those bolts in there?) BayAreaScion 06-12-2010, 03:18 AM Thanks for all of the help and quick responses, I just got ol THOR aka big hammer and smacked it free, now its on to 10-20 trips from about 45mph down to about 5 mph to bed in the new slotted rotors, thanks again! tc-guy 06-12-2010, 03:20 AM or you can put one lugnut on bout 5 turns then use a rubber mallet and smack it off. the lugnut will prevent the rotor from flying off. MadMike550 06-13-2010, 02:13 PM I was going to suggest a BFH but it seems you figured it out.... those threaded bolt holes work to..but not near as quick as the BFH RedneckwithanxB 06-13-2010, 11:19 PM bigger hammer and PB Blaster yellowxhoodie 06-13-2010, 11:57 PM bigger hammer and PB Blaster ^that hit it hard. if it doesnt come off, hit it harder. MadMike550 06-14-2010, 04:00 PM BFH = Big F'n Hammer :) RedneckwithanxB 06-14-2010, 11:45 PM But sometimes you just need a bigger hammer... and if you dont have a bigger hammer, your screwed in life... tanakasan 06-16-2010, 11:49 PM BFH for the win! Robert |
