Default Tow Hook Fog Lights

I went into the dealership looking for the TRD CAI intake bumper grille (which parts could not fin -- waste of a trip, can anyone get me the #?), and saw this guy. Has this been attempted before? It looks like it was welded and powdercoated. They were Hella lights.

pics dont work

Wow...that's an awesome idea! I've seen scoobies, and evos around here with lights like that...now I want to try that!

This looks like a site to buy them...they have HID as well.

Oh wow. Yeah.... no. It's interesting, but I think it doesn't look right with the xB.

It looks like someone smacked the back of the car and lights popped out of the car, hanging by a thread.

If someone's after that look, I think it'd be better if you add the fog light by the driver's mirror, like in Ford's Police Interceptors.

Thanks for extracting the pictures. I'm split on whether or not I like them. They didnt have much flex to them but I could imagine them getting a little bouncy over speedbumps. I was just thoroughly surprised to see this (seemingly) DIY mod on a dealership vehicle.

If you need another one, it's $23.71 from TRDsparks:

Enter your year, make, model, and then use the keyword "tow hook".

Smaller is definitely better in the case of this style of Fog light.

More is not always better... just put in HID headlights, and skip the goofy looking fog lights on the bumper. If you can incorporate something into the lower grille - that might look good (like the '08-'10 OEM fogs), but the bumper stuff looks like crud (insert your favorite word beginning with c or s here).

Let's just say that I've never adjusted to the time difference from Greece

I'm currently on the phone with airline companies in Greece booking my flights, so tonight I have a reason. The rest of the nights I just stay up on MSN, Skype and SL. :D

ps those lights, or should I say the idea of those lights is horrible. They look way out of place, no matter their size. But hey, it's all about individuality; I'd rather shave my head than roll around in those!

ps2 if anyone does that, please post pics!

I should have taken a picture of when I had the one on...I like it because I like the rally car look. To each their own...

The lights I bought are like 6 1/2 inches...it looked good on there.

I'm tempted to buy the 2nd tow hook, and just get them put on...

Just hook them up to the wiring harness for the oem fog lights, and get a switch.

I would also suggest maybe coating the hooks in plasti dip to prevent rust.
