I have seen mentioned a few places and times that people love the idea of having clear windows instead of being tinted.....So why exactly from your own personal tastes are you wanting clear windows instead of tinted?

It's MUCH easier to see around you. Some people just like the idea or nothing inhibiting their sight, which is exactly what tint does.

I'm a pizza delivery driver - there's nothing worse than having to roll down your windows at night to try and find someone's address, while at the same time letting freezing air into your car.

To egg the argument on, what are some good facts (not opinions, or personal preferences like "it looks better") for getting tinted windows. The only one I can think of is to keep your car cooler, but some people could really care less about that. The only other argument is to protect your interior from fading, but a properly taken care of vehicle will not have to worry about this.

Seriously though tint helps from people with light sensitivity to their eyes. I know I have it but I really don't like wearing sunglasses so I get it slightly tinited.

Personally I would have preferred if Scion did make clear glass because it should be left up to the owners "personalize" such as Scion has been promoting.

It's human nature! If the windows come tinted, people want them clear, if they come clear, people tint them!! Same thing with women and curly/straight hair...

Few people think logicly about tinted windows, it's all about style.

only if it you got the shiznit interior. i did new windows in my taurus cuz i redid the whole thing with suede/leather but i would never drive daily in a car without tint. i hate when people look at me

Clear windows IMO are clean. I wanted them for a number of reasons. I am having the interior done with a squirt of airbrushing for flavor. I want people to see what my ride and PROTO are all about, and some do say that a persons car is a reflection of who that person may be............

i just really like the look of a clean car, lowered on rims (wide and german rims of course) with no tint. it just looks really sexy to me....especially if its a black car. cuz those mofos are a beotch to keep clean. but since i couldnt get my car w/o tint. i will eventually tint them. oh well.. you cant always get whatcha want. 8)

Another question.....those of you that would prefer a clear window so you could tint it your own personal color.......what would you go for????????????

personally i think tinted windows give ur car a cleaner look than clear windows...cuz clear windows is easy to get dirty...easier to notice

Clear windows doesn't look right to me. Have you seen those SUVs with clear windows? It looks like it's a base model but then again it clear windows on an xB looks good too.

As far as functionality, I agree with Scionic. I don't want it to make it easier for the would-be thieves to see what they want inside my ride.

I think clear windows gives surtain cars a clean look. I only like it done to some cars, as far as the xb goes I think I would prefer a tint. It all just depends on the car for me.

i would of rather have clear windows to tint the shade i want.

I want clear! Why? Because the tint I want to put on is Platinum color. That would look like ___ on already tinted windows. I'm not a fan of black tint which is really the only thing you can do with privacy glass.

The reason you would want a Scion without tinted windows is because I own a Tint Shop and you can make me more money by having me tint them.

I would want clear windows because then I can put flames going from the front windows to the rears .

hey so on the topic of tint...is it illegal to have ANY tint on the front windows? what about the front windshield?

88% net 70% on the front doors and a 6'" strip is legal on the shield in CA

NO tint for me if I had the choice. It gives a nice clean look. Opens the car up more. IMO

has anyone ever noticed on auto commercials they tint all the windows as dark as possible. i think that poo looks sooooo darrrrrrrrn hotttttttttt.

I personally think clear windows only look better on classic and exotic cars for the most part. Most others look better with tint. I'd be interested in seeing an xB without tint though.
