Default Problem with the rubber strip between windshield and visor, help?

ok so this has been sorta a problem for a while now but my cars an 05 so im guessing its just due to age. the rubber strip that goes between the windshield and the sunroof visor keeps coming off because the sun has made it swell up and not stick in where its suppose to. it came off on one side completely the other day while i was driving and scared the ____ outta me lol

anyone know of something that i can use to glue it back in place, i was thinking maybe some kind of epoxy..what do u all think?

I had this issue just after I bought my tC from the dealer (used of course). I took it to the dealer and made them fix it. Apparantly they had to replace the entire piece which required taking off the windsheild. I'm sure that you can use something, like the putty above, to hold it in. But the dealer claimed that they whole piece had to be replaced because it wouldn't "snap" back in any more. It was a $90 job. I paid nothing due to my warranty. Thats the info I have on this. GL!

yea, i took a closer look at it and its one big piece, connects to the gasket that runs along side the windshield all the way to the spot where the hood meets the body. i see a bunch of these failing as the years go buy, but oh well its not like scions gonna make a tc with that problem anymore.

i will try the putty, that stuff gets hard once the 2 colors mix right?

what? the strip where the windshield meets the roof? it just has to be glued back down with some silicone or something. the windshield guy at my dealership did it for free. just glue it down, and cover it with some painter's tape for 24 hours so it holds, and problem solved.
