PA drivers are worse then NY drivers

i drive pretty much every day between route 46 and 202. i'm on all the major highways almost everyday, i can say hands down PA has the slowest drivers.

PA drivers on Staten Island are worse then Jersey drivers and thats pretty bad!

ouch SIers getting it from the jersey crowd... (why am i think about pots and kettles...)

I drive between states every week. Here is my opinion: NJ has the worst driving "rules", (jugs and circles) and some bad roads. NY has the slowest people (especially when in left lane) and alot of F-ED UP (major) roads. and PA is somewhere between.

Oh, and NY has THE WORST traffic problems!!!

I can guarantee you that having lived in Philadelphia for 4 years at school, and having to travel through all three states in order to get home, Philly drivers alone give PA drivers the worst rep on the East Coast. Although NJ is a close second.

PA has the dumbest driving rules. IE: stop for right hand turns only. my buddy moved to hilltown/perkasie(spelling) awhile back when his mom remarried, and they have to dumbest rules. now he lives with his mom in newhope, and they just have some odd one way streets

The traffic isn't that bad because 75% of the roads are 4-5 lanes in each direction + 1-2 turn lanes in each direction and you can make a LEFT!

:rofl: .... there will always be jug handles. It confuses the "out-of-towners" so they try to make a Left turn at the intersection anyway. This helps drive up our insurance rates. :tap:

Well there is one intersection in Pembroke Pines, FL ...
The intersection of Flmingo Road & Pines Blvd was rated the number 1 worst intersection in the US. It has the most accidents. One reason being there is 5 lanes in each direction + 2 left turn lanes in each direction and 1 right turn lane in each direction. That is a total of 8 lanes in each direction ...

it's all scary to me...esp when i got off the plane and had to drive with my grandpa back to the dorm...my 80 year old grandpa who can't drive for anything and almost hit everybody!!

I am in the south jersey/philly area...

Philly has i76, from KoP all the way to the walt whitman bridge, and the extension from the blvd to the bridge ... its an awesome driving road... but sucks when we have people doing 45 on turns that i can clear at 90... PA has slow drivers... and traffic is getting bad...I also like how people speed to cut each other off, just to make it first to the light, too be followed shortly by another light (roosevelt blvd)

Jersey sucks... the roads are horrible... I wonder where the money from the high taxes are going too...maybe the fund for out of state stolen cars?!

oh and sometimes you can see your destination, but can't seem to find the road to get there...

Massachusetts drivers are really bad. (I'll admit I can be a pretty crappy driver sometimes.) Where else can you drive on narrow streets, in the break down lane on the highway and have 50 million random rotaries?

At 3 different times last night driving home from Long Island I got stuck behine jersey drivers on the Belt Parkway ... They were doing 50 in the left lane and everyone was passing them ... AND they would NOT move out of the left lane ... My proof that jersey people can't drive!

My proof is I was in West Chester, PA today and the only people that were driving the speed limit or over were NJ people. There was like a train of 4 NJ people doin' 70+. I don't know if that constitutes "knowing how to drive", but it made me happy!

I guess I just got lucky and got stuck behind 3 a-holes and they all happen to be from Jersey!

there no mountains by me, just flat land with flat no turns roads, very boring to drive around. the mountains are out west and it snows in that corner. We just had a thunderstorm today. it hit 70 today. wind gust reported at 64 MPH today. now its goin down to 33 tonight

Not sure about NJ or PA, but you see the thing about NY drivers is that for the most part they drive high end cars, and we all know that paying $70,000 for a Lexus LS470 also buys you a ticket to driving like an @$$hole. Oh, and that race car ultra tight suspension handles excellent on the Belt Parkway. Like I said, I don't know how to compare NY drivers to NJ and PA drivers, but if you wanna taste of damb@$$ rich people thinking they own the road, come visit beautiful NY!!!

Sure we do. We ( NJ ) managed to get NY to change their plates. If you remember back about 8 or 9 years ago, they had the red statue of Liberty in the center? NJ took NY to court, to prove that the statue is indeed in NJ. Now NY doesnt have the plates anymore, and you can order one in NJ with the statue on it. NJ wins again.

in fact what that technically means according to the supreme court is that NY owns up to the original part of ellis island... and NJ owns the rest (larger part). But if I'm not mistaken, the lady actually sits upon the original part. SO you guys should stop trying to sell your delusions... you may own the greater part of ellis island.. but its all actually garbage. WE own the important part.

I believe the law suit was technically to show that NJ owned a part of the expanded ellis island (since it lay over the original set upon border)... and NY's stance was that we owned all of it. The statue itself was never in question. There is of course stil disagreement on where the NJ part of Ellis island should begin. But that is why there is now a ellis island NJ and ellis island NY. And I'm pretty sure the law suit had little to do with the changing of plates... Plate designs DO get changed every so often you know.

CT should've definately been included in this survey (aren't they part of the trio in tri-state?), but I don't think I would've voted for them ... for some reason I never see them around here (despite being relatively close) , and the ones that do come down seem relatively competent.

Some things to take into consideration .... it is cheaper to register and insure a car out of state. Most NYers have their rides registered in SC .. NC ... FL ... and PA. All the NJers that cant drive, they moved out of NY and into NJ, but still cant drive.
