Okay so I screwed up my headlamp
I need new headlights ..I fouled one up and so I need to replace my driver side headlamp on my 2008 tC. Where can I find it other than the stealership? I checked TRD Sparks and they don't have it..wtf? I don't want aftermarket ones ..I want OE or OE-like. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
It is at TRD sparks. Here it is... It's a bit expensive in my opinion, maybe try ebay and craiglist for cheaper.

Well I was spraying some VHT on em and the passenger side came out great! But my driver side, which is the original one that came with the car was crazing. I guess I should have sanded it down better lol. Anyway so I sanded it using some 2000 (all I had for light grit) and then sprayed it. Came out crappy on the driver side so I had to remove it. I used lacquer thinner and then when I got it all off the headlight was cracked all over, the surface. I was not pleased lol. I noobed up.

Just an FYI for those who want to reverse the VHT look.
I wanted to restore my single reverse light back to clear. I used fine steel wool to remove the VHT and then buffed the plastic with Meguiars plastic polish once the VHT was off and it looks just like it did before the VHT. I've heard of the cracks happening when using thinners. If you have access to a bench grinder with buffing wheels that would be a bonus too.

I forgot to mention, use the ultrafine steel wool and do it WET. I actually had some soap in the mix too, like I was washing a pan. Worked like a charm, when the the plastic starts showing through ease up and let the wool do its job and you'll have minimal scratches to buff out.
Yes, but the steel wool doesn't clog up with residue like the sandpaper does. I tried sandpaper and it was just too cumbersome, especially on that little nipple in the middle of the reverse light and I imagine it would be the same on any protrusions on the headlight assemblies. Same concept though, you're wetsanding the VHT off either way, if you take your time you can get the VHT off with minimal damage to the plastic lens. I just restored the clarity and shine of the plastic with Meguiars plastic polish and there are several other compounds that will do the same job. If you want perfection you need to employ a buffing wheel with plastic polishing compound, but not everyone has that stuff just laying around...
this guy has some 09 headlights for sale. hit him up.
