Hi all. I'm not real mechanically gifted, but I'm confused and need some help from the experts on this forum.
I have a 2006 XB with 16,000 miles on it. When I pulled into my driveway, I noticed a drip-like trail of water going up my driveway. I parked my car and looked underneath. I could see a slow drip of water coming from the right side back toward the frame behind the engine and closer to the wall of where the dashboard would be near the front right tire area beyond the wheelwell.
When I opened the hood and looked beyond the engine toward the back of the engine compartment, I could see a slow drip coming down off the frame toward the right side of the car. It didn't look like there were any hoses or anything there that could be leaking.
The liquid drips were water - there was no smell, no color, no greasy feel to it.
I have never used my A/C in the car. However, I did have the defroster running at the time. Could this dripping be condensation from the defroster? Several neighbors felt that was the source of the moisture. If it's a natural thing with running the defroster, than I can live with that. I just wanted to be sure that it's not something more serious leaking.
Thanks for all your help.
