Im not having any troubles that I am aware of. Can you describe in more detail what exactly is rubbing, please? I have had it on my car for a little while now, but I did not find the problem until recently. It is a little connector on the intake, that is bumping continuosly against the strut bar, its not rubbing, but hitting as the entire intake resonates. You cant hear it when you are driving, or have awindow open, or are listening to music. But if you are at a stop with all windows closed you will hear a d d d d d d continuously, or atleast I do with my car. If someone can explain to me how to get a picture from my computer on the internet, i can show you guys whats hitting. The only thing I can think of is to get a cold air intake which would probably not touch the strut bar. Imthekingman 03-02-2005, 01:48 AM I just put the DC strut bar on yesterday and am hearing the same clicking sound. I thought it was the little connector on the intake too. I'm gonna check it out tomorrow and see what I can do about it and post afterwards. jrv2000 03-02-2005, 05:40 AM I just put the DC strut bar on yesterday and am hearing the same clicking sound. If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it somehow, please help us out and post how you solved this. If someone from DC sports could also respond to this that would be great Imthekingman 03-03-2005, 10:59 PM Just to report, I haven't found how to stop the clicking yet. If anyone else knows of a way it would be much appreciated if you let us know how you stopped the noise. I plan on getting new intake soon but until then I'd like to find a fix to the problem. jrv2000 03-03-2005, 11:05 PM I know for a fact that its coming from the connector on the intake tube right after the air box. This piece is the only part of the engine that is touching the strut bar, and when i got my friend to hold it down from hitting the bar, the noise stopped, so i am 100% sure that the noise is from this piece. I just dont know how to get this piece off of the intake and route it somewhere else. I called up DC sports, and they said that they would call me back within the next couple of days. Imthekingman 03-03-2005, 11:29 PM Ok so i got the noise to stop. The connector is only held in place by one screw, so to take it off you just have to unscrew that. As to where to put it I don't know. I didn't want to leave it just hanging so I just fiddled around with it until I got it to stay between the airbox and some piece that was sticking out. I drove around for a little and it seems pretty secure, so I'll leave it like that until theres a better idea. onefunkyfreshdj 03-05-2005, 03:34 AM I have that same clicking noise too... Just wrap the connector in foam rubber tape & then no noise. jrv2000 03-05-2005, 05:12 AM I just unhooked the connector and zip tied it to another part of the intake. The noise went away Emo 03-05-2005, 06:11 AM this is kinda weird but I put in my DC bar yesterday and so far I haven't heard any noises.. besides the fact that it was so damn annoying to put in the inner bolts back on, it looks really good and hope it actually does something to help my body not roll... but like I said, so far I haven't heard anything -Emo drgonzo 03-05-2005, 01:02 PM FYI, my tc does this too under 20 degrees. What a lot of us ended up doing was to undo the screw that held the little plastic connector to the airbox. I just ziptied it away, so it doesnt make the noise anymore.
