If you are unsure about where your oil plug is....I wouldnt recommend you touch anything with mechanics on your car....IMO

I second that!

It a big bolt usually with a washer attached to it. :eyebrow:

Hey, everyone has to drain oil for the first time once. On some cars is it possible to make a rather expensive mistake by unscrewing the wrong "big bolt" on the bottom of the engine.

The question is valid and our Hawaiian friend is showing intellegent caution in asking it.

On the xA and aB, the bolt is the one at the lowest part of the oil pan pointing down and to the right. Easy to get at. Be sure to put a new sealing washer on the nut.

I'll let a tC expert handle that car.

if its your first oil change its covered by your dealer for free. 3 of em so i would take it to the dealer and ask the service manager if you can see the oil change. they allow that a lot now a days.
