I'm starting to consider ground-control coilovers and TRD struts instead of tein basics. However, I plan to go down at least 2.25" if not 2.5". Does anyone know how well the TRD struts could handle this? Someone told me they're only good for up to a 1.5" drop. Thanks.

wlel the TRD shocks are made for aftermarket springs and TRD springs.
i dunno the answer to this one but you ahve to compare the spring rates of the TRD springs to the aftermarket springs you want. if its to big of a jump then ur ride isnt gonna be smooth but rather wavy after time.
but dont take my word for it. its only IMO

I would say it will be a waste of money because that would be too low for the TRD struts. I would go with the TEIN Basics instead of the ricer coil overs. It would be about the same cost and ride way better than ground control.
