the stock intake gave a little air hiss sound while switching gears, almost like a turbo sound. does your newer intake create a louder sound air sound? does it get that sound at all?

I have the Injen RD CAI and mine get's a real loud growl when reved and has a hissing sound when I accelorate. Doesn't sound like a turbo, but does sound like an expensive intake. TurboTC 03-02-2005, 11:33 PM That hissing sound went away after I installed the DC Header. If i dont accelerate a lot i can still hear the hissing. I love it and i can feel a difference in throttle response. personally i think weapon r made a really good intake. I did have a little trouble putting it on though. the couplers came floded so they werent round so it was really hard to got them over the throttle body and intake pipe. phillyflint 03-03-2005, 09:08 PM i just installed the weapon r intake today, the couplers they came with are crap the one that goes to the throttle body needs a 10 degree elbow in it so it fits smoothly, it looks like there could be air getting in between the pipe and the housing.
