Upper Dash Removal to get at Passenger vent?
Has anyone done this yet? I'm changing the color of some of my dash pieces I have the radio bezel and the inner vents and the upper front part of the top dash and that vent.
Now I need to get at the vent on the passenger side. I know its all clips?? Where do I start yanking it from?
I know I have to disconnect the battery because of the airbag.
I have the spec sheet on it from Toyota put the description is not very good they say just pull up on the front part lol..Then pull forward???
Don't get it..

It's not just clips, there is a bolt holding the airbag section from the bottom side.
Here you go.

If your looking to take out passenger air vent out its kind of simple. It has 3 screws holding it on. Take out 2 screws behind radio bezel that hold dash down and pull up on the right side of dash to a/c vent. Use a stubby screw driver and get them out. I just had all of my dash pieces painted and it it looks GREAT!

Drop the lower knee panel out, partially remove the driver's side of the upper dash, just enough to wedge it up and forward about 1-2", then you can push the mirror panel out and down to get it out. Yes, I've removed it too many times if I know this by memory.
