Default Need some help

i having some trouble finding a constant 12 volt source on a 2006 scion tc>>>ive search and got mixed opions,im hooking up a volt gauge,i got the ground and power 12 volt switch source, and recommendations to tap into a constant 12 volt source

yea i thought that was a switch 12 volt, i read somewhere the acc socket..is constant after i made this thread

cig lighter is constant tap it in there like the other person mention,or the acc socket

Are you wiring up glowshifts by chance? I'm assuming so since they're the only brand i know of that need constant power in addition to switched power so the selected color is at the same setting as when you turned the car off (otherwise it'll reset to the original color)

The cig lighter and aux power in the box are switched sources and turn off with the car (just tested with a probe to make sure.) If you can find a fuse tap or add-a-circuit kit, use slot 15 (unused, dead center by the white molded "tee" in the forward middle of the block.) it provides power when the car is off. If not the thick blue wire in the panel above the cabin fuse box is also constant (please use an inline fuse if you're splicing there.)

thanks didnt know that ,yea i have glowshift gauge,yea the cig lighter fuse didnt work, im goona try that slot 15 tommrow....gonna pick up the add a circuit later as it seems easier to install,but i really apperciate the help..i have the switch wire hooke up,so when the car turns on the gauges will too,just had some trouble with the constant,but seems like you fixed it for me
