new member first time writer, but anyways I'm seriously thinking about getting the Xb and sell my Toyota Cressida which is rwd. but what i read online is that you can only buy Scion at sticker price???? is that true. if so i might not be able to grab one well i may be not at the payment i wanted to. I'm only in college and i really need car that wont need me to baby it all the time. The Cressida is a good luxury sport sedan but its been having problems lately and i just dont have the time.
So if i do get the xb i know i will want to get the 18" wheels. i just hate the stock alloy wheels. plus i the xb is a really good value, you get a whole bunch of feature like abs, vsc and power windows and locks, a/c and so on. Gosh, look at what the Toyota Bb made me do. :D

Yep, no negotiations on price. What you see on the website is what you get + your states taxes and other charges.
What do you want to pay per month and how much will you be putting down? Do you have any idea what your credit rating is?

Nope, not going to happen. Hell, I have great credit, put $5000 down, financed at 3.9% for 60 months and payment is $224 (includes monthly insurance fee in case something happens to me and I can't pay for the loan).
Maybe you can consider saving up more money for a larger down payment :?:

Ya, I'd save up a bunch. My payments are $170 a month for 60 months and I had to put $8500 down to get them that low.

Dang...$8500 down...could have almost bought the car outright. I wish I had that much to put down when I bought mine.

You can't nego on your purchase price but from what I hera, you can nego on your trade-in value. The Cressida is a great car and depending on condition and your area, you might get a good deal on it. Plus, when you trade in, you don't pay taxes on the amount that your trade-in brings. Just something to think about. A lot of dealers try to low-ball the trade because the market up in the car isn't all that much.

maybe a lease would be the best option for you and then you can opt to buy the car after the lease.

I put $7000 down...(my trade in, which was paid off), and my payment is 227 for 48 months.
I wish I'd put less down and went longer so I could have used some of that $$ for accessories, but slowly but surely the xB is evolving.

so basically there is no way i can get them to sell it at invoice price? alright i dont want to lease it, and basically the trade in value is going to suck. a year ago toyota gave me 2000 on it if i brought a matrix from them, good deal on it for 11000 (hail sale) hmm, maybe i should wait for hail???? but basically i might be able to get it still. i'm just going to have to ask my parents if they can help me out.

remeber.. every $1,000 you put down.. only lowers the monthly payment like 10-15 dollars....
Personally.. I'd rather put nothing down than have to wait/scrounge up some money for a down payment......

i found this in the credit application thingy:
"1This MSRP reflects the options you selected in the "Build Your Scion" section of Scion.com. Actual MSRP may vary. Final price is agreed upon by you and your Scion dealer. "
that last sentence is what caught my attention. Final price is AGREED UPON BY YOU AND YOUR SCION DEALERS. i might printed it out and show them that. but i might of translated it wrong.
the link is in the build your scion then click on apply for credit. man i want one so bad. i want the attention i deserve. hmm i feel like i've already fought this topic and loss.
