Sprint Springs
im just trying to get as much info as i can get, I have read some sprint spring threads here, but my question is if they will rub. This is the biggest issue for me rubbing and stuff, so far our xb is a family car soo it has to fit 5 people and cargo. i estimated how much weight we add with a full car w/o cargo and its about 560 lbs. just to make things clear this is what i want to know:
how stiff are the springs
how comfortable they ride
and whether they would rub or not with a full car ie 560 lbs and some cargo.
Thanks, Paulo
also its about 310 lbs in the front and 250 in the back just so you guys know how the weight is spread out.

Honestly man, go with Tanabe, I love my DF210's.
and if your worried about rubbing, go with the NF210's. There is a thread full of pictures and reviews on how they ride. Just trying to help you out
Also if you are interested in DF210's my friend is trading in his 08 xB for a supra. Let me talk to him, he also has a TenzoR CAI, he might give you a package deal. If you are interested.

i have hotchkis lowering springs (one of the lowest set of springs) w/ stock shocks...and one time i had the trunk packed to the top and the backseat with 2 dogs weighing in about 200 together and some cargo packed on the floor of the rear and some on one side of the rear seat packed to the top. probly around 450+ lbs and had no problems with rubbing or anything like that
Sprints are linear rate so they are pretty soft and fairly comfortable. I have a set on my factory struts sitting in the corner of the garage that came off my car when I went to bags. They are decent springs for the money, you won't rub as long as you aren't doing one of the following.
1.) Running Hellaflush ritardo wide wheels up front.
2.) Drive like a WRX rally champion.
I was running 18x7.5 +42 wheels front and rear with 225/40ZR18 tires and I would occasionally get some very minor rubbing on the front on the little rivet tabs towards the rear of the fender well. That occurred mostly when I was heavy cornering. The rear will not rub period, the stock shocks and axle design will prevent that from ever happening. I would say go for it... In fact, buy mine! LOL
Oh, and I was rolling with a 200 lb sub box in the back and my fat **** in the drivers seat which would come pretty close to the weight you described up top so the weight shouldn't concern you.

sorry guys i never knew there were people writing in this thread, i never got any emails or anything, thanks for all your help, still trying to save up some money for whatever i need for the xb, so far not much luck, broke little junior
, but i still am looking into which springs would be best for my family so keep writing :D thanks
Paulo
@GoldenxB2RS5, i have been looking at tanabes ever since but the df210's i have heard would rub too much for us and the nf210's doesnt seem it would get rid of all the wheel gap, then again i could be wrong.
also how much was your friend selling his df's and the cai?
@aggj24, i am looking into those right now they look really good, and you said no rubbing at all? how is the ride quality compared to stock springs? thanks a lot :D
@Tealtoaster, wow that helped a lot, thanks, and how much were you going to sell your springs?
i would like to know whether they are sold or not haha.

haha ya its a daily driver, my mom don't drive it that much mostly my dad but then again he doesnt like lowered cars but im gonna figure something out, in the end i probably will still end up with the nf210's -__- its not that im against them it just doesnt seem to fill in the wheel gap enough for me, im real big on the hellaflush scene soo thats why. so sprints arent good as a daily driver?
They're fine, as long as you're used to dealing with only 3" of ground clearance. Also, if you have "hellaflush" wheels on springs that low, you're gonna need supastretched tires to keep from rubbing, and that will leave the wheel lips heavily exposed to curb rash... drive very carefully.
You can also go with larger diameter tires to help fill out the gap. I've seen 215/45-18 and 225/45-18 instead of the more standard 225/40-18. Personally I have the NF springs and went with 245/40-18 on the rear to fill out the gap, but you can't do that with low offsets and hellaflush wheels.
It's all a matter of priorities and compromise.
