P0171 System Too Lean (Bank #1)
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank #1)


Now the car runs sounds like poop..... and then dies?? Its idling very rough at the start.
Do you think the emanage got compromised somehow and I need to re-add the base map or should I just got get a tune because I'm trying to get the Descendant Intake Mani And Fuel Rail before I go get a tune but I dont drive my car much. So I thought I would be fine.

Bad Cat or O2 Sensor? MAF?

 

It sounds like the MAF to me. If you unplug the MAF and the rough idle goes away, then you know it's the MAF.

 

Was the car running fine before and if so, how long?

 

Car was running just fine no probs perfect idle for the last like 250 miles

but now according to my uego gauge is went from like 14- 16 at idle

 

I have a tiny whistle/ hiss noise its like coming from the BOV its the SSQV is that possible?

 

Sounds like the BOV is leaking.

 

do you have a blow through maf?

 

ur BOV is leaking unplug the vaccum line from the back of the BOV i bet your car runs perfect... if so then ur bov is junk

 

Try what he said but don't floor it cause you will have crazy compressor surge.

yea just let the car idle

 

Naw he can drive it but hot just enough where your blow off would have sound and see how it goes but remember stay away from mid-high boost just to test it out

nope not it.... i just removed the vacuum line to it and its still doing the same thing

 

Check your maf and your o2 sensors

 

MAF is fine o2 I havent checked

 

Then has to be your tune.

 

I'm thinking so I just drove it up my street and down ran perfect and the uego said like 12-14..... bov hit fine. When I went into my garage and it sat it hit 18.....Unless its the 02 sensor. I'm really running iout of ideas and I dont wana go to the tune and actually have something wrong

 

I think it's the tune. You can't expect It to run perfect without a tune. Especially a base map that is off. Who gave you the base map?

 

I think I got it off dezod or someone on here it was rlly good tho
