I just installed Goldlines in my xb and now there is a sound that sounds like a out of tune harmonica when going slowly. What could this be?

I think it may be the brakes. It only makes the noise when I slowly back out of somewhere or when I apply brakes slowly. I'll put it up on jacks tonight and take a look.

Make sure the big nut on top of each strut is tight.

Make sure you reconneded those two hoses.

Also, hopefully you assembled the different parts of the
struts with the Outside pointed out?

Springs to take a little bit to break in, but it could also be
your brakes like you said.

Good luck with that!

Just installed my goldlines today and have the same harmonica like sound when I turn right going slow. What does the silencer tubing do?
I noticed there is a black rubber piece on the stock springs, that I didn't install on the goldlines. After I was done installing the springs I noticed the goldlines paperwork says this must be in place. Do I have to put it on?

Yes...it will help keep it quiet.

both, the stock rubber piece and the silencer tubing. Or is it the same thing?

Oh yeah, my top bolts on my struts are 18mm, I think the tutorial said they were 19mm. (I think)

It says 17mm, I just might have used too big a socket, but I'm pretty sure 18mm is what I've got on there.

Guess I've got to take the fronts off again to install the tubing???

If you want it to be quiet. I didn't have to install it on mine for some reason, but a lot of people do.

I installed the tubing off the stock springs and I still get a harmonic sound when I make a right turn. It doesn't do in everytime, but once in awhile. It is really annoying. Anyone going to be at the Englishtown, NJ show this Sunday that could take a look at it for me????? It's driving me nuts.......

Ok guys the best way to stop the noise is just buy that plastic that wraps around speaker wires to keep them together. I bought it at wal mart for like 1.49 and I just wrappped the part of the springs that are closest together.. I got the idea from a buddy of mine. I did my goldlines like 2 weeks and I have no squeeking problems what so ever.

My Goldlines have been great from day one.

I put on the black rubber pieces from the stock springs and it seemed to get rid of most of the noise.... Then, like a week later it started again

This morning I tightened up the drivers side strut. It was really loose. Now all seems to be right. I took it for a short test drive and no noises at all. It was making noise over bumps, as if the guard around the disc was rattling loose, but now it's perfectly quiet. Hopefully this takes care of everything. I love the drop of the goldlines, especially now that my Axis Reverbs are on.
