View Full Version : barely-used tc price?

My salesguy just had a used scion TC come in. It's got 900 miles on it (it was a repo, not a demo). I'm a little concerned about the miles as I know the first 1000 are important to the longevity of the motor. What is a fair price for the car?

If the dealer can probably sell it to someone else at very close to sticker, I would probably let him, as it is not my first choice of colour (although it is a five speed). But I do like the colour and the intererior (and exterior) are still in new shape, so if I can expect a good value I would jump at the oppertunity. Otherwise I wouldn't mind waiting for a new car off the boat, so-to-speak.

Not sure what a "barely-used" tC is worth and would like a dealers opinion.

Thanks!

Id just pay a few extra bux and get a brand new one. you dont know how the first 900 miles were driven. i wouldnt take that risk just to save a few bucks. especially if you plan to keep the car for a while. I was also thinking of buying a used one with 3,000 miles on it, but i decided against it. Its not worth it to me. Its not a risk im willing to take. just my 2 cents.

If it were me I would want a minimum of $1500 off of sticker. You might be able to do better than that though. Good luck!!
