Hello Everybody! Ive been on this site casually a couple times, but now that Ive been picking up on some of the mods on my car, I think it's time I posted my car up. As car is under two years old, and I'm poor, I havent done much to it... but here's a picture list.

First thing I did was get a carbon Kaminari spoiler to set the car aside from all the cookie cutter tCs out there (a little bit at least)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/eclipsedoctor/2009-07-31194549.jpg

Then, I was broke haha. So I did a Sparco pedal set to get rid of the cheap stock rubbers.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/eclipsedoctor/4411_604969414481_20003239_35466798_7418420_n.jpg

I followed up by ditching the stock wheels: 18" tenzo Cuzco in titanium color. Tires are a bit meatier than I'd like, but in Chicago thats probably a good thing.

Then I got a carbon dash kit, and a Sparco shift boot and knob:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/eclipsedoctor/DSC06169.jpg

Then I tried the S.Techs (however found out the drop was too much for the meaty tires/wheels so I got the Eibach Pro-kit and im MUCH happier), still got the Tein S. Techs tho:

That's about it. Ive stripped all the exterior badging except the trunk lid Scion emblem, which I plan to replace with a whole carbon fiber trunk lid anyway.

Finally, I did a Euro style grill kit, the ABS black plastic type.

Future plans: HKS cold air intake and HKS Hi Power exhaust, RS1 carbon lip kit, Sparco Torino seats. Thats about it for now. Let me know what you guys think!:relief:

That color is not typically my favorite but in some cases one can pull it off. I like the rims and the drop is not drastic but still noticeable I say u could of done with out the huge spoiler sually requires more mods to pull off right. As for the cf trunk u plan to get I'm curious to see cf on that color I can't recall a single light blue TC with cf mods.

i also think the spoiler is a bit too much, but everything else looks good. the cf hatch may look good it there is also a cf hood.

In retrospect, perhaps the spoiler is much... but my thinking at the time was not to go with what everyone else had. I see the same spoilers on all the tCs, and I just hadnt seen this one anywhere. It only looks big in pics tho really, in person its not that bad. You cant even see it in the side mirrors looking back... ? lol

Looks like you're getting off to a good start on the tC. Getting bit by the modding bug is dangerous.. because there's really no cure for it... not sayin' that's necessarily a bad thing :)
Even though you've ventured on to Scionlife a couple times before... Here's an offical welcome to the ScionLife community. As you may have found already, you can find a lot of answers/information by using the "Search" function on the top of the web pages. If you have any questions please feel free to ask any of the the SL moderators, or any of the many knowledgeable members here. I think you'll find this is a community of knowledgeable, easy-goin' people that love our Scions.

welcome and looks like your off to a great start and i like how your interior flows by matching it with sparco stuff instead of parts here and there from different companies, as for the hatch garnish it would look great on the WP with your kaminari wing, pic below is off a azure pearl with the third brake light tinted but it can give you an idea of how it would look like on your car with the kaminari wing. also post up your tc in the waveline pearl thread and take a look at what other WP's have done to theirs, i know 1 has the rs1 lipkit in carbon fiber which is probably the same that your looking to get.

Post a picture of what it looks like now. We see the mods, but how do they flow together as a whole?

So, I washed the car and it got too dark to take pics of the whole car  . But... heres an interior shot? lol

When I get some of the rest of the car, I'll post em up.

Is anyone else using the Eibach pro kit? Im not getting any compression noise from them yet, unlike the teins I was using, and I was wondering if its something that develops with time?

Hey Whats Up, i'm new to scionlife as well and i just got my eibach pro kit springs today, plan on installing them this weekend. How are they?

Mr.Waveline

They feel just like stock. The drop is noticeable, but not exaggerated. I have only had them on 4 days now tho. The kit is great because it came with the bump-stops for the front struts, so that eliminates the uncertainty of cutting them yourself. Unfortunately I forgot to measure my stock ride height, but they raised my tC 2" all around from where the Tein S. Techs had my car. Let me know what you think of yours when you put em in!

I'm not sure on that one. Maybe it has to do with the springs from that specific company. I've got a 2" drop all the way around on Hotchkis springs and I never had anything audible during the break-in/settling period when they were new.

Holy Smokes! ..... geez... I can't walk away from the computer for even a minute without locking it... or things like this happen... LOL...

I don't care how young or old ya are... Cookie Monster still rocks :)

And to keep this thread mainly on topic lol... It is possible for a "sqeaking/creaking" noise to be normal in a couple examples I can think of off the top of my head....
If the springs are coated in a flexable material then I could see it possibly making making a little bit of noise in normal driving conditions as the spring articulates (compresses & rebounds). that the coating may come in contact with say the upper and lower mounting points of the spring. Or possibly rubbing against the bump-stop.
If you hear what you think is louder than normal... I'd say check to make sure the springs haven't accidently shifted out of position. This can easily happen you install lowering springs onto the stock OEM struts/shocks. This can happen if the stock struts/shocks are allowed to extend (travel) close to or actually at the point of being fully extended. As the travel of the OEM struts/shocks are longer than the length of most lowering springs... therefore making it possible for the spring(s) to shift out of position. If that's the case, it's pretty easy to re-seat them. Simply jack the car up to take most of the weight off the spring. Then with the wheel off just manually turn the spring back to where it's supposed to be seated.
Hope that helps in your trouble-shooting.

Well, I snapped a quick pic on my phone the other day while I was walking towards it at school. Its not the best quality, but you get the idea of it.

It looked much better with the Teins, but I cringed at the sound of scraping lol.

Kill the front plate, and throw on some tint. Would look a lot sharper.

I'm actually diggin where this is headed

In my opinion, I'd do CF hood with paint matched sides, CF hatch garnish (dont do a full CF hatch), and a lip kit (CF or paintmatched would both be good)

A paint-matched OEM lip kit would look really good.
I, of course, would ask for moar low.

I had a CF hood and still have a CF hatch garnish. It looks really good on the AP. These colors are similar enough i think it will look good.

I got a bunch of Cookie monster plush. My mom always buys things for me since it was my favorite toy as a kid. But the good thing is I can give it to my lil Boy once he is born. I also have a Cookie Monster in my Truck. He is dressed up like a pirate. My wife won it in a claw machine.

Oh and I forgot to say I like the route your going but to help complete the look next I would spend some dough on the lip kit and some tint. Then it wont look so off with the Kami wing.

This is EXACTLY what I wanted to do. I didnt mean a full cf trunk, just the handle thing that has the emblem on it (I want to get rid of that damn emblem so bad! lol)

I wanted to do the hood like I did on my old civic:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/eclipsedoctor/car1.jpg

I think the carbon/blue will look great... of course after the window tints. I actually hadnt done the tints before because its illegal in Illinois, to the tune of $250, but they are now legal, and I shall be tinted soon! :D

Thanks! Yeah, I really want the RS1 kit, but I dont like the fact that you can see the steel frame of the car when the doors are open, near the sideskirts. At least thats the idea I got from trolling around on the forums. I really want to go with a carbon lip kit tho.... I'm kind of obsessed with carbon.

That stuff might have to take a backseat to my HKS performance mods first tho. Time to make the car sound a little more alive at least.. lol.

Looks pretty good so far. Since you have the Kaminari wing, might as well get the rest of the Kaminari kit to compliment the wing. If not, if you do decide to go with the carbon fiber trunk, get the Kaminari flush mount wing. A few people on the forums have the flush mount and it compliments the tC pretty well. Great job on the progress though.
