Throttle Body coolant bypass?
I have heard of people doing this and since its a free mod id be interested in doing it too, heard no gains really, maybe 1 hp or less, any info would be great, thanks!
Well.... since its free or costs next to nothing...i'll say its worth it if you don't live in places where your TB would freeze up....
It is actually quite simple... took me less than 20min... Its like unplug the 2 rubber hoses that direct the coolant to the TB and back to the Engine.. Connect them together so they don't flow through the TB anymore.... Thatz it!
I really didn't notice a big difference, but theoretically I am getting a slightly cooler air. Difference is there but don't expect to hang with corvettes after the mod. No problem for me whatsoever... i did it at 850 miles... now i'm at 9800 miles...
