Just caught a falling rock off a damn dump truck on the highway....there goes the windshield..Crap.....Wasn't even tailgating, was coming up on it and was just going to pass on the left....When BANG, I hear a cracking noise, and there it is, a crack....Son of a B@#$*.....I got all kind of stuff hanging on the windshield too, alarm wiring, TV antenna, window tint, etc....This ____es me off royally! I take damn good care of my XB, while some ignorant "Don't-give -a rat's ___-about your car" individual dumps rocks all over the road....Had to VENT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad you dont live in florida, if you have full coverage on your vehicle you dont pay for windshields and they'll even give you a free box of steaks!

sorry to hear about that man i feel for ya

I had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago to my Benz and I had the trucks plates I called the company gave them all the infor i.e. when, where, etc. They paid for the replacement. So....maybe you got the plate? :nails:

I dont know the laws in your state but in Colorado the driver is responsible for his load. I was lucky in my F250 when a rock cracked my windshield, I got the plate number and the buisness number. I called them on my cell phone and told them what happened. I turned out that after a threat about calling my lawyer they paid for my glass.

Depending on where you live, there's also laws out there that require trucks like that to have some sort of netting over the bed, to prevent exactly something like that from happening. As mentioned in the other posts, if you got the truck number and company phone number, call them first and see if they'll pay for the windshield. I always have some paper and a felt pen handy to write down info in case something like that happens.
