in my opinion, don't do it, by the time you can afford all the parts for your kit, you might not even want to keep the car anymore. save up and buy them all at once. or something might happen, but all your cash is wrapped up in parts for the turbo kit, and you got to part out. just save and wait, boring i know, but much smarter.

no. zpi made a "stage 0" kit that was to be ran with no engine management, which is bad news bears after time. dezod and ptuning are two that you'd want. as well as descendent.

I agree with going used, but definitely do your homework. Make sure you know what you're going to need and what comes with your purchase as well as the condition.

The difference between the S1 and S2 is the engine management. The Alpha is for large power applications but requires fabrication work, but also allows the ability to pick and choose the other necessary components. If you want to stick with Dezod I recommend going with the S2 because in my opinion having a quality EMS is priceless. I feel like the Alpha is for the more experienced tuner that knows what else he needs and wants to make those decisions himself.

treadstone mani w/lifetime warranty-$100
ebay 2.5 intercooler pipes-$100
ebay fmic.......................$100
precision turbo,tail 38mm wg,tial bov$1,075
deatchwerks pnp 550cc jects$375
aem fic w/ pnp harness......$550
ss steel oil feed/drain kit....$60
walbro 255 in tank fuel pump$95
aem uego.....................$175
aem boost gauge...........$145

total cost=2750

these are prices including shipping. all new parts, all quality parts
if ur not afraid of hacking ur ecu wires, u can save urself 300 bucks and discard the plug n play for the fic. and u can find quality boost gauges that are cheaper than aem. and u can probably find a turbo cheaper than the precision listed. that would put u well below HALF of 5k, leaving some left over for new clutch n fly wheel. nothing wrong with buying a complete kit upfront, but know ur paying half or less in parts and the rest in a name.

I agree Brian! Having a good EMS is like knowing you have a bodyguard with you 24/7. It's resting easy for sure.

The S1 is for the entry level clientèle with all that they need for getting boosted complete in just a few boxes.

The S2 is for the guy that wants the piece of mind with a little more slickness to the engine management. It's for someone whom might want a little more than the S1 and have their cake and eat it too.

The Alpha is definitely for the more advanced tuner as it's components are setup and geared toward 400+whp with room to grow to 600. The setup is giving you the hardest parts to fab and make up with ease of bolt-on technology.

Furthermore, the Alpha is also designed for the guy whom may have an S1, Turbonetics, GReddy, TT, ZPI, PT or custom-whatever that wants to make MORE power with their setup, but does not want to buy another kit. We give you the parts needed to make the extra power, and you can re-use your IC pipes, BOV and several other components....Simple swap-ability.
