Default Guess what I got for lunch?

Well technically its dessert since it was after I finished lunch. I'm not annoyed that they didn't leave a note, its the time and effort I'll have to put in to get it fixed. Anyone have any ideas how much a new bumper is or if I'll even need a new one?

Wow what a jerk!

I had the same thing happen to me in my SW tC at work.
You'll be better off grabbing a new bumper plastic never really goes back to the shape it once was once bunched up like that. Dont to claim it if you don't have to on your insurance.

I got lucky and found someone on craigslist with a SW bumper for 150$ try your luck.

Thats the worst place to get hit imo. Its small enough where its hard to decide to use insurance or not. The same thing happened to my brother yesterday at a Walmart parking lot. The best thing you can do is call a shop that handles a lot of insurance jobs and ask for their opinion. I called over 6 places and all of them wanted over 500 bucks for a 2009 rear bumper with paint and install for a freakin bumper!! It's worse cause the deductible was 500, at least when you claim it you get a rental.

claim it, keep the old parts you are entitled to them and keep it for a backup, flip the lip or keep it for an extra

That sucks man! If theres no tears in the plastic you can probably get most of the eye soar out, however it's gonna take some serious TLC to make it look good again

You won't need a new one. Take it to a body shop and they can pop it out and paint the whole bumper over. It's not even worth the insurance claim, at most it'll cost you $200 for paint and labor. I've had the exact same situation happen to me.

thanks for all the advice.

ill probably swing by a body shop to get an estimate and go from there. if its gonna cost more than $400, it will have to wait until after the wedding.

and yes, im glad he/she didnt ding up my new wheels. :D
