I test fitted one of the wings on Freddy's xA, and it didn't fit. This is why we might remold the wing for the current maker, but the demand needs to be there in order for him to give the ok.

I saw the cf wing and it needs some minor re-working. If I had an xA (soon, maybe), I would definitely rock that cf spoiler.

Most likely, we won't make an OEM replica in carbon fiber. Customers who don't have the existing OEM wing will have to drill and put taps into the trunk in order for it to work.

We like to release products that are easy to install and fit like a glove.

So, if you guys were to make a CF Spoiler for the xA it wouldn't require any drilling? How secure would that be? Just curious as I live in NYC and the roads are horrible. Don't want the spoiler to come off or anything.

There is not way that a properly mounted spoiler we release would come off while driving. We would never release the product in the first place. This is why our reputation is for making extremely high quality product at a very affordable price!

Yup once we get the downpayment from Mflo that will leave us with 3 more wings. Now this is what i call progress. This is the only 10 we will be getting and we dont know if there will be anymore to come so get them while there here... Remember when there was a carbon lip kit out for scion xB now there isnt anymore well this might be one of those instances so get it now and be 1 of the 10 owners to have it. Maybe you can sell it for more once there all gone.

I've got my money ready to go, but it's hard to commit to purchasing without seeing the fit and finish of the product.

Well as far as fitment is concern we are going to fit it on my xA before anything and its made by BBist and as you can see all of his other carbon products fit good. The reason the is no pictures is because its in development and wont be released if there isnt a demand for it due to the fact that not alot of money come from the xA in the first place. I want to see this come out and i love my xA and if xA owners would push for more product then you would see more things come out for it. I mean if it dont fit then your not obligated to buy it. This is a reserve for people that want it and are willing to take advatage of it. Autofashion only sells what we would put on our own cars and wont sell you guys something that sucks because in the end we will end up with the headache so we try to avoid that problem.

I want to see this come out and i love my xA and if xA owners would push for more product then you would see more things come out for it. I mean if it dont fit then your not obligated to buy it.

I know that one dude had his hatch wrapped with CF, but has any company produced a CF REAR HATCH for either the xA or the xB???

$20 is the minimun for deposit. I think you pay the rest once the wing is made. But if you have questions about it, call up Auto Fashion directly.

hey guys, just a little update on the wing. I spoke with elroy from autofashion today and the manufactuer started the mold on the trunk today, so hopefully we will have our wings in approx. a month and a half! damn, I'm excited!

Fiber FX had about 30 owners interested in vented hoods for the xA, but they split us into 2 groups. Then, they couldn't get the 10 people from a group of 15. They also stretched the group buy out for several months. No wonder people lost interest.

Since none of those owners got hoods, there still is a potential market ready to go. I could even PM the owners from the other thread.

Hopefully, the vented hoods will be offered up.

I'm with you guys on that. I'ts got to be the reverse type vented hood for me, too.


Autofashion- Please inquire about making the CF hoods and rear hatches.

I'm more concerned about the rear hatch. There are already CF hoods for the xA (even though I don't like any of them), but no one has made a CF rear hatch.

I would like to hear the CF manufacturer's opinion as to whether they can produce the rear hatch. I have my doubts about it, because the glass and all of the mechanical parts from the OEM door would have to fit perfectly onto the CF door. The lifts would need to be changed, too. The hatch would be so much lighter, it would fly upwards with the OEM lifts. If it's any easier, I could do without the wiper assembly.

That sounds REALLY bad. The manufacturer should be able to give us a realistic time estimate up front. In any case, it shouldn't take a month to figure out how long it will take to complete the job.

It sounds like the manufacturer doesn't know what they are doing.

Sorry I havent made it out there to get some pictures. Ill try to make it out there sometime in the next few weeks. Im hoping they will be done. If i cant get a answer when the wing will be done then there is only 2 options left Either i find another manufacture to make it or We will be sending people there money back. I know you dont want to hear that and its been so long. I appologize for the wait if it was Autofashion that was making it then it would be our fault and im tired of Appologizing for companies laggin then making us shop people look bad. But since we got a Manufacture to want to do it after I got the 10 People to order the wing and this is happening. Once again i do appologize for the long wait.

we cant blame autofashion for the delay since theyre basically contracting the job out. The only thing we can ask for is that they start looking for a new manufacturer. And remember that they are organizing this deal for us and doing it for us and not to make a quick buck.

what are the manufactures saying about the progress?
i am not sure how different this would be from the manufacturing of cds and records, but i usualy can just call and get a full update. lucky enough for me they also email me a full status report every week i have a production run in the plant.

just would be nice for the manufacture to give you / us that same curtesy.

Once again test fitting it and its not as easy as the xB. The xA is more complicated because there really isnt much to work with as far as space and how the wing will mount on. I been working with them and Its being a long process to design the wing to were it will fit with minimum drilling as possible. If anyone wants to pull out of the deal thats fine we can give you your full refund back of your deposit. Once again I do appologize.

I personally am glad your taking your time to put out quality. With this being the only CF wing for us it would be easy to make junk and sell it. Im willing to wait as long as needed. Quality over quantity anyday!

The factory is slow for some reason, and you prolly know who is doing this project also. Thus the reason why it hasn't gotten the stamp of approval. If it doesn't meet his standards, it doesn't get released to the public.

yah I know who's doing this project....it's the lil keebler elves who use their magic bake oven...ha..ok i'll stop..
