Question [HELP NEEDED] Buying Exhaust

Hello SL,

I really don't know much about exhaust systems. I own a 07 tC and I really like the sound the Infiniti G35 makes. It's not loud nor it's stock sounding, it just sounds right :D

So, I'm asking those of you who are familiar with exhaust systems to help me out here with something like what i mentioned above.

where can I get it for good price that isn't a cheap product nor an expensive one.

Thanks in advance.

For starters their is no way to get a tC to sound like a g35 (assuming that is the sound you want) those vq motors have a really distinct exhaust sound.

What exactly are you wanting and what are you willing to pay? If you want something quiet and subtle go with the TRD or the greddy spectrum elite (a couple off the top of my head)

Also I'm going to assume you are new here and will be the first to say...SEARCH! Check out YouTube for sound clips of various setup as well.

Check out the classifieds and sponsored sales to find good deals once you figure out what you're looking for.

Hi,

Yes I'm new and thanks I will sure use the SEARCH [sorry]. I know that tc will not exactly sound like g35[the engine and all that stuff].

What Im looking for a is like what you said subtle sound that is not really loud and bothers you ear. I dont know how to explain it well but I think you know what Im talking about.

I don't have a budget for it because I really dont know how much it really costs and how much i need to spend.

and thanks for quick reply.

I agree with most of the posts above ^^^

if you're looking for better performance than the OEM exhaust but one that isn't to loud for your taste.
I say go with the TRD axle back. Sound wise it"s right in the miiddle of the road.

I have the hks hi power on my tc. In my opinion, sounds great. Has a nice deep tone, and not too loud to pop ur eardrums. U can find em pretty cheap. I got one from the classifieds for 100. And I found another same one that I bought for my friend for 90. I'm very satisfied with it.

heres another thing to consider are you lookin for a oem look or something like a big canister look..........assuming a oem look,TRD axle back with like a megans racing midpipe will sound good or just a trd axle back.......or you can even consider a megans racing axle back............but you gotta do alot of research for what your lookin for..

If you don't want to go with a used part, we have the new TRD Exhaust for a reasonable price and we ship everyday at 5. Here's the link so you can check it out. Just drop the Exhaust in the shopping cart to get the shipping.

This Exhaust has a very nice full round sound with a good little rumble in the background. TRD keeps their Exhausts at 85 Decibels with street legal being 95 decibels across the Country. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks all for your reply, there are so many options and so many brand names. Kind of lost in it. I need way more time to look for every available options.

choosing is way too hard than i thought it would be.

I'm looking for OEM look and so far I like the Greddy and TRD, the way the sound and look. I don't want anything big. not really a fan of canister looking exhausts.

the TRD is probably what youre going to want to get then. The outlet is not much bigger than stock and the tone is very nice kind of a deeper tone and quiet. This is what i have and i got in on craigslist for $100, apparently the guy was parting out his TC. It bolted up in less than ten minutes(getting the stock one off was the long part which still only took about 20 mins) anyway, heres a picture.

and if you want it louder at any point, add a midpipe or a header.

ARK also makes a good looking exhaust.

Find a used TRD exhaust in classified and get it. If you dont like it you can resell it, or if its too quiet you can get a midpipe.

Thats the set up i had a while back, its really not too loud and sounds great.
