View Full Version : what tires are you running?
socalscion 03-04-2005, 09:11 AM i wore out the stock tires that came with my box and needed a new set. i used to have falken azenis on my celica gt-s and decided to put em on the xB. the tire shop looked at me funny when i told them what tire i wanted. anyway the new tires are great, they are like glue to the road and handling is so sic now. they are strickly summer tires though. they don't last very long but i had to try em out...plus they look so bad ___ and the sidewalls are super tough.

djct_watt 03-04-2005, 08:17 PM you're running those tires for your stock 15 inch wheels? I didn't know they came in those brands!
meb727 03-05-2005, 12:10 AM stock, but am going to try the Kumho 711s from the Tire Rack when I order/find some wheels-Z rated and only $53, if only it would go that fast!!!

socalscion 03-05-2005, 12:57 AM azenis have alot of grip, its a popluar tire on the autocross courses. i'd say tha majorty of the imports there are running on them
LavaBox_v1 03-06-2005, 12:59 AM ... its stock ... get some ____ty no-name tire ... save the money for when you get rims ... Azenis have do not have good tread ware ... their rating is like 80 ... its horrible for every day street driving ... fine a tire with 280-320 tread wear for every day driving
socalscion 03-06-2005, 02:33 AM i didn't get the azenis for long thread life, i already know how long they last. i got them for grip and for autocross events. and i get good tires for a good price but i'll never buy cheap tires
Sciond 03-06-2005, 02:46 AM I prefer Nitto, on a budget though Kumho is hard to beat
mredz 03-06-2005, 07:48 PM I ran Toyo Proxes4 on my old P5 which are great tires. My buddy just put them on his Jetta 1.8T and he loves them aswell. Not sure if they make your size though?
Munch 03-06-2005, 08:20 PM I have Toyo Proxes4's on my new rims that I just got for my Xb. 215-35-19 for the front and 225-35-19 for the rear. I haven't put them on yet because of the weather.
sexyscionlover 03-06-2005, 08:50 PM I'm running Nankang Ns-1 but on 17" rims. Unless they came with the rims, I wouldnt have gotten then probably. They handle pretty damn good, but are kinda summer tires and make quite a bit of noise. I'm not sure if they even make in 15s, but I would just probably not get these even if you could. I would get some Kumhos and be done with it :D
Rayman 03-06-2005, 10:15 PM 17" Falken ZI-EX 512s
Somnambulated 03-06-2005, 11:56 PM I prefer Nitto, on a budget though Kumho is hard to beat
Kumho makes a great tire. You can definately feel the difference. I've also had Pirelli's on an older car, and they wore out FAST.
Still rollin' stocks on my tC...
nycazn79 03-10-2005, 03:01 AM 18" Yokohama Prada Spec-2
