Was wondering if anyone has come across the same problem I had just discovered. I ordered a kit last week and it just came in, went to see the fitment and whatnot and realized that the TRD exhaust that I have sits directly underneath the lip kit. There is absolutely no space in between them, so I know that will eventually [quickly] melt the kit in that spot.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to this problem cause I really wanna make this kit work :D

You need to replace the TRD axle-back with the Tsudo cat-back dual exhaust that was designed to specifically fit the 5-axis lip kit. It will also look a lot better with both rear lip openings filled with an exhaust tip.

(Not a bad price either, for the quality and design.)

jnaval: how would i go about doin' that? sorry, not very mechanically inclined :]
cionide: that's a good suggestion, but I don't have the money for that at the moment... need money to paint the kit first.

Ask for an early Christmas present.
Seriously though, does the TRD exhaust tip at least line up with the passenger side lip kit cut-out? Personally, I think it looks silly to have a kit designed for dual exhaust with only one cut-out filled, but it will look absolutely terrible if the TRD tip sits below the entire lip without lining up with either cut-out.

I've seen people replace the OE rubber exhaust hangers with longers ones so the exhaust hangs lower.

had that problem with the crx 3" exhaust i just bent the rear hanger just enough to get a 1/2 " clearance between muffler and bumper
