Has anyone heard the magnaflow 1482 http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=776 muffler? I can get one for $90 with free shipping and was wondering if it was worth it? Thanks a lot,
Keith

Good price, and may be a bit loud. Why? Because its a canister type muffler.

they also make the same style muffler in an oval case - http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=768 I'm looking for something not to loud, with a deep sound, that will quiet out on the freeway at around 4k rpm's. I am leaving the stock resonator(sp?) and running 2.25 tubing back from there.

the oval will definately be quieter. its pointless to just go 2.25" from the resonator back if you keep the back stock. save up and do the whole thing

I would go w/ one of the following, personally:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=765

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=766

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=767

These are the ones that are the basis of the Squirrel Express axleback.

I have a custom center exit exhaust catback, based on a 2.25 inch exhaust w/ Magnaflow resonator, 4x9 oval, and resonated tip.
