A buddy of mine has been through every method from adjusting the clutch pedal to replacing the slave cylinder, 2 different ways of bleeding both sources, has a new master cylinder, new clutch (Exedy Stg 1) and the list goes on but when he starts the bleeding process, some bubbles come up at first, then nothing BUT the pedal never gets any firmer. The slave cylinder rod does not extend out as much as it should. Any suggestions or missing links or ideas?

Everything with the auto to manual swap has gone great so far except this. Help out if you can and any help appreciated.

Maybe try getting the extended slave cylinder rod?

It's not needed for this clutch. I use the same clutch on my car without it and it feels almost OEM.

Just try this.

the problem could be your master cylinder. the oem one has a longer rod then any aftermarket one. you can adjust it out farther and get more travel out of the slave cylinder pushrod.

Nope, the clutch pedal was incorrectly mounted. He only used two bolts to hold it on so the assembly would move and not give the required hydraulic pressure. Thanks for all the responses to help narrow it down. If I were on site with him, it would have been fixed a while back but he's 5 states away lol.
