Default Weird phantom problems

Hi guys! Just bought an 05 tC about a month ago and I really like it. Finally bought the TOY03 PIE Aux adapter and connected it today. Right after I finished the install, I had a few little problems.

The passenger window would not go down with the driver side control. Only the passenger control would move it up and down. After I started messing with the rest of the controls on the dash (AC, heat, etc) then the controls for the window started working again.

Then the panoramic roof initially wouldn't work. I kept messing with the button and finally started working.

Then the trunk did the same. It wouldn't open, I started messing with the lock/unlock control, and it started working again.

All of these problems have gone away so far and everything seems to be working fine now. Anyone experience this? Just want to see what you guys think.

Thanks

Did you disconnect the battery? That resets the passenger window controls.

I did the same thing when I installed my TYC Tail lights, but eventually it started working again. The only thing I've still gota do it turn off that stupid seat belt beep...

It happens when your disconnect the battery.

Welcome to the forum. you need to reset the safety function on the windows. Turn the key to "on" and hold up on each window switch. Do the same for the sunroof.

Sorry for the lack of details, if you search then you'll find a million threads on this. It has to be done EACH time the battery has been disconnected. instructions are also in the owner's manual.

Please elaborate. I need a master key. I called the dealer today and they charge $300 for the key and programming so I searched and found that I can buy an uncut one on eBay and get it programmed at 1/3 of the cost.
