These black headlamp covers........are these available here? I figure they're probably illegal to use.........but if they're removable, it shouldn't be a huge deal. Any ideas? Thanks.

I swear I have seen everything aftermarket under the sun for these cars and I am pretty confident that the answer is no...not available here in the states for now....

just use black duct tape.
those projectors are pretty cool underneath and on the ground. maybe the blackout is part of that projecter kit.

I think that the lamp in the ground is the eye, and it poped out so all you see is the brains... just one big dumb Xb. He he... J/k I love my dumb Xb
the smoked covers on that bB will not work on the xB. the headlight design shapes are different. one way around this is doing a bB headlight conversion.

And exactly how are they different? THey look pretty damn close to me

side markers on the xB stick out, compared to the flat design of the bB

You can get that custom made. It is hold by double side tape (very strong). It is easy to remove, if you got caught. I don't have XB but it is my other car before. If you need these, I can give you the guy contact info, who custom make "blackout headlight cover" or any color cover for life.
No, it is not legal in any state. But here in Michigan, I can have all kind of ____ and no one cares. I got all my lights smoked before and now it is all cleared for like 3 year, no one cares. I even remember seeing a police car got smoked cover for the headlights.

You didn't understand what he meant... the actual shape IS different. If you look at a bB headlight, you will see that it is flat all the way across. If you look at your xB headlight, it has a bulge on the ends where the corner lamps are. Those JDM headlight cover pieces (including the big one-piece grille/headlight covers that comapnies like DAMD makes) go OVER the jdm headlights, so they will not fit over the usdm light's bulge. Bulge... bad!

Van is right. If you get the aftermarket projector lights (they don't have the signal bulge) the piece you're talking about should fit. The black bB at the El Toro meet had those headlight covers.
Peace,
