after building the box 5 months ago, I finally got subs for it.



its a good reliable setup which even at low power will produce big boom. its in no way a SPL box or anything like that, but its my newest setup.

still need to wrap it in vinyl or suede to match the interior

i'm using a Alpine MRP500, and 10" Alpine Type-E's

wired in parallel/series, four of them are wired to 4ohm and one is wired to 8ohm

last week i ported to 53hz

I had it metered last night and it put 138.5dB on a TermLab with the meter on front windshield and all windows closed.

it's expected bc the airspace is way too small. So I am now calculating measurements for a six 10" wall.

With the wall, all subs ported to specified enclosure size, I am expecting atleast 145dB.

i think they are good numbers based on mic placement..betcha its pretty fast too

I ran 3rd place considering it was a car show, not a competition. The highest was 144.5dB with three 12" Diamonds.

2nd place was a two 10" Memphis that hit 142.2dB

and i'm sorry about the pics not showing up, i'l host them separately.
