Default weak stock clutch clamping power?

ok, i've had my tC for about a month and a half now, i have 1100 miles. i've noticed this, first of all, the clutch pedal is very easy to push down, it takes little effort, compared to other stick shift cars.

secondly, tonight i was going 40ish mph, in 4th gear. when i gave it half throttle, immediatly, it would push your head back a little, then, it would really pick up speed a second or two later...is this caused by the clutch clamping not being so tight?
i know my clutch isn't slipping already, i would cry if it was, but i try to baby the clutch whenever i can.

also, 5th gear, under 50 mph, you can totally notice when the clutch is slipping, you can even feel it vibrating on the stick, thats why i never use 5th gear unless i'm going over 50.

take it to the dealer. warranty, theyll check it out. sometimes during shipping the clutchis damaged or a bused by the assemblers or at the port (Japan or USA). if it is the clutch or hydraulics it will be replaced under warranty. especially the way you just described it it should be checked out.

its not even close to the clutch IMO.

the clutch is actually normal, i have a car with a clutch LIGHTER than teh TC's and i've felt clutches heavier. its all in the master clutch cylinder.

the extra KICK you feel is actually the VVT-i or the LOW END TQ kicking it. same goes for all gears. but if your really paranoid, take it to the dealer and have the service man drive it WITH YOU in the car.
