K&N improper installation...lol
lol.. nothing big ...
i'm only being half serious here but...
apparently K&N doesn't follow their own installation instructions..
http://www.kandn.com/instructions/69-8605.pdf
If you notice
STEP 1: Turn the ignition off and disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal.
but if you look at the rest of the pics... the guy has his battery connected the whole time.
(apparently also has a ground wire kit)...
bad K&N
, don't you know how much we rely on pictures to install our mods properly?

Personally, I think the K&N Typhoon is a poor design. I purchased one, and installed it to find out that the car was actually slower 0-60 and 1/4 mile on a GTECH afterwards. (this was last year sometime).
After looking at the intake removed from the car, you can see where the problem is. In order to keep the MAF happy, they weld a round piece of metal right before the MAF sensor hole to restrict and defract air... it's a sharp, flat, turbulance creating halfmoon that is left to flow past.
Personally, I wouldn't suggest the K&N Typhoon... to anyone.

the photos are for illistration only unless im working on the airbag system witch has capacitors or perhaps the hybird system witch can kill you. that first step is just a precaution
in general and they never know what kind boob will be working on on their car so they have to cover their ___
that looks like a homemade intake kit btw like i made from my moonshine still pipeing & stuff . the pretty award goes to aem imo
