Exclamation Lights Out w/key fob!

Hey Scioners,

I was replacing my LP lights the other night and my little boy was helping out...little did I know he was sticking all the bulbs trying to fit one in the LP socket. One LED BA9S style killed the lights! Now the lights don't come on with the Key Alarm FOB. It still works manually with the switch inside, but they don't work now when I press unlock or lock with my FOB. I checked all the fuses and all are still good. Any help pls??!!

Thanks!

Jim

Your fob operates the hazard/turn lights. Do they work manually from the hazard button or the turn signal switch?

Yea, the bulbs work fine manually. Normally, when I press on the FOB, the lights blink to indicate unlock or lock but now they don't come on...but I still get the chirp confirmation. I can use the switch to turn on the parking lights and use the signal/hazards. No fuse or bulbs burnt, so I'm still left puzzled ???

May have fried the circuit in the alarm? Wouldn't know how to test that though.

You get chirp? That's something aftermarket because factory set up doesn't make any sounds. I think you got some problem with the added alarm.

I'm just wondering how plugging the wrong bulb into the LP socket would've affected the freakin system. Now what might be the prob if it is in fact a alarm problem? It still chirps, so would there be another part of it that blinks the lights??
