Rant on "Club xB . com" [Dislike]
i've been a xB owner since 2004, and it was recently totalled in an accident by someone else's mistake. i loved my b0x and drove it all over Florida, to Texas, up to NY, to Chicago, and to it's final resting spot in Atlanta.
throughout all of my travels, i've met many fellow members from various Scion organizations, and i also helped in the challenge build of a Scion xA for SEMA 2006.
now that other forum (clubxb) bans me for trying to sell my old parts to other members? thumbs down to that group! or as they say in facebook language, "dislike"!
oh well, on to other things... i'll post up my parts for sale in the PPC soon!

Meh, I got banned from there too, apparently they dont like it when you say that another persons badge-engineered xB -> bB transormation is as JDM as a pink *****...
i'm actually in Atlanta now, but i may make a trip down to orlando sometime to visit the parents.
*edit* No PPC sales outside of PPC section, Post a link to the sales.

Yeah I got banned within two days of joining their site too. I commented on an extremely ___ ___ mod this clown was trying to produce and sell to other Xb owners. Apparently they are a bunch of sensitive _____3s over there. ____ em'.
If you wanna check out they ___ ___ items this dude was making, they were revolver style climate *****. They stuck off the dash a couple of inches and looked like dicks in the dash.
"Dash Dicks" now on sale for your Xb.....LOL

well they are very cliquish there so I tend not to go there so I never have much. However there is no need to bash them as long as this stays civil I will keep it open

I'm a Box virgin, and I asked a question on their forum (after my obligatory 10 posts) about rim size and fitment. The "moderator" promptly posted a twenty-or-so-word answer that chastised me for asking. I PM'd him and told him (nicely) that it would have been easier to just answer yes or no. I then sent another email that pointed out what a poor "community" they had and asked to be removed. His response - "Bye". I hope this forum is a bit more supportive!! Looking forward to some great ideas and advice. BTW, I want to post some pics in the next couple of days on some mods I've done. I've had a great time playing with my Box!!!! Thanks.....
First: i am a CXB regular. It's a fun site.
Yes, the new members sometimes are treated a little harsh there, i agree. But it's usually because of one of two things: post padding (making useless bumps of ancient threads or saying "that's cool" 10 times in a row) or braking simple rules (read them first) about selling stuff.
In any case if you are into xB modding then ClubxB is a good forum to visit.

exactly^^^ that is the cliquish side of it..the end of the day the most info still resides on this site as... I am kinda old school I stick with the original..this is the oldest and largest scion owners forum

As a frequent visitor to both SL and ClubxB, I personally go there because there are more active Gen 1 owners that frequent that site than SL.
Never had a bad experience on ClubxB.com. Most people that just join that site often _____ about the rules (there's many) which are designed to keep the forum running with the least amount of spam or fraudulent sales. Clear rules are posted for new members to review, but if they don't, then they shouldn't whine like a baby when the mods delete their posts for violating the posted rules.
actually since you weren't around back in the day here is how it went...it got off the ground by folks who could not follow the rules here some by choice and some by lack of control....long story that nobody cares about anymore...as for the cliquish side it speaks for itself
I didn't register til i bought mine in 06, but i've been on here since the start. So i remember everyone's story: Squirrel's, etc lol
Eamon- you must be gettin' lots of headache since i see your name pop there all the time
