recently i started to hear it more, mostly when i accelerate on 1st and 2nd, and again when i left off the gas while still in gear. is this normal?? i have a 5-speed

ya very normal, these cars are very noising in the drivetrain and engine head (valves)

yep really noisy. sometimes i think its the po-po chasing me when i forget its the drivetrain! lol

whew, good to know. you guys think i should replace my transmission fluid? i'm at 32K

i don't think you are supposed to replace tranny fluid unless theres a problem... correct me if I'm wrong.

i think you are supposed to at a certain mileage but im not to sure on it... i just know ppl on here change it out to amsoil or redline mt-90 to get smoother shifting.. wont really help with the whining noise at all..

ive changed my tranny fuild like 3 times allready but that was just because i worked at a local autoshop so i had access to all those things. but i would change it at 50k intervals. im at 80K right now.

also my gf is always commenting about the whiny noise coming from the trans. she always says it sounds like a plane. lol
