Ok, I've searched through previous topics, but can't find the answer. I'm wanting to know what the interior height of the rear cargo area is in the xB. I can't find it documented anywhere. If an xB owner would like to put a measuring tape to it and post the outcome, I would appreciate it.

Because I know the overall xb height is 64.6 inches and the ground clearance is 6.1 inches, that leaves 58.5 inches to spare. Then you've got the chassis and the roof to subtract. So I'm guess it is about 46 inches...

go to the scion website and find the area where you can chat with someone from scion. they will find out for you. I had the same question and that's what I did. If I remembered what they told me I coulda told you.

If I can find a tape measure, I'll go check it, but as an example, I fit a 27 inch TV, still in the box, in the Box... and still had room for my usual staples...

I see you have the rear bumper protector installed. Did you install that your self? Just curious, cause I bought one a few weeks ago and haven't installed it yet (too cold outside!) If so, was the install easy? Did you really need a hair dryer like the instructions say?

No, it was dealer-installed, although I wish I hadn't gotten it and have been thinking about peeling it off. But that's just me. When I installed my pillar covers this week, I did use a hair dryer on them as it instructed to help activate the adhesive which won't stick as well when cold. Didn't do one without to compare, but they seemed to have stuck well...

I got mine because my dog rides in the back with me alot and it just gives a little more protection against scratches when he is jumping in. I also carry alot of band equipment and so it should help there too.

How much band equipment can you carry? I'm looking to replace my Isuzu Rodeo but I don't know about the capacity (both size & weight) & the durability of the cargo area. Is ground clearance a problem when fully loaded? Does it have enough power? Ideally I'd like to carry my half-stack & PA with EV speakers, but I could go with my Twin & smaller Mackie PA.

Wife and I got the rear bumper applique and installed it are self. With a little patience and a water bottle and squeegie it goes on pretty easy. There are 3 notches on the applique that line up with bolts on the bumper. Just start in the middle and work your way out. Good Luck
