Is it worth purchasing the extended warranty and added maintenance contract for the Scion? The dealer told me that they were set prices for the Scion. For example, I paid $695 for a 4 yr/55,000 miles maintenance warranty, and $895 for an extended warranty for 6 yrs/75,000 miles.
Is it worth it or not?

I think it is worth it because the prices they are set at are so much lower than normal Toyota prices. I am also biased because I sell the cars. If you are ever going to do it, do it at the time of purchase because after the vehicle is titled, you will buy the warranty as a used vehicle and it will be alot higher than a new warranty. Just a little info for you.

If you can afford a major repair, I would risk it. The odds of not having a major repair are in your favor. If your on a tight budget, bury it in your payments. Just my 2 cents.

I don't believe in them, especially for Toyotas. But if it gives you peace of mind and you can afford it AND you will use it, then it may be worth it to you...
