I would do a lot more research on this before you ask. There's soo many variables and gains/losses...

They help to increase response because they do not expand like traditional rubber/hose setups. They also support higher boost levels, and usually have a better air flow efficiency. They can heatsoak though, unlike traditional plastic setups. That's a start, but I suggest starting to look into some real research.

Wow I just realized it was only for the intercooler. Yes intercoolers do help. They cool the air coming from a compressor, whether it be supercharger or turbo charger. Most will always help, going to small limits you, going to big will add some lag/pressure drop.

please rephrase the question. question is a little to broad
