well, I've researched the net and lots of people are happy with the 55 watt kits with no problems, they notice the brightness.

Now for our cheap thinly made car. Do we think its save for the headlight housing? And the projector housing?

All in all I did a search on the forum and I don't see to much for 55 watt on Xb2's, so I'm wondering what we all think or have had experience with.

u dont need a 55w ever, all the extra wattage does is makes a k go back. So u say u have 8k hid's the extra wattage will make it 7k hid's.. soo if u want 6k hid's you'll hit 5k's which are nice bright white.

i have a 55w 5000k Umnitza kit in my xb2 like a year & a half & its been golden! i had MobileHIDs prior to the Umnitza & i went through 2 ballasts & 2 sets of bulbs w/in a month. yeah, they replaced em for free, but i shouldn't have to replace them so often. so i went with Umnitza...:icon_smile:

Been using 55w for 1.5yrs doing fine. Beware some sellers give you 30w bulbs instead..they will work but will fade and die out after awhile.

Just use a relay, I guess. I've been using a 35W HID kit in my xB2.

Ive been wanting to switch to 55w. The 10k in 35w just isnt doing it anymore and I think my 3bspec kit is getting old...

Try DDM tuning for a good price on 55w. Everyone I know that has bought their kits have been happy.

you need to get 6000k or 8000k 55w to get a pure white color. 4500k would be yellow, haha.

they had a post in the classifieds like a year & a half ago. 55w digital slim kits... haven't seen much umnitza posts lately.

Id like proof rather than speculation that 55w looks the same as a 35w a k rating down.

so wat website is better to get the hids in 5k cuz i want white and the slim ballast? how about ddm tunig should i go with 35w or 55w
